At takeoff, the mission computer issues steering commands to the dolly nosewheel to follow the Microwave Landing System (MLS) azimuth signal.
All flights landed automatically using MLS localizer and glideslope guidance signals.
The Condor takes off from the dolly by following a microwave landing system (MLS) command guidance signal until rotation at about 65 kts.
Landing also uses the MLS signal, tracking the azimuth and glide-path signals to position the Condor over the runway.
